Last year Uganda introduced an Anti-Homosexuality Act which increased the oppression of gay people in a country where homosexuality was already illegal. The Act has unleashed a wave of extreme and violent homophobia. In the Lords on July 23 Alistair Lexden said that targeted sanctions should be imposed on those responsible for the new law.
