On February 7, Alistair Lexden presented the Whitbread prize, which is awarded annually to the student judged to be the most outstanding—on grounds of academic, sporting and community service achievements—in the 400 schools belonging to the Independent Schools Association, of which he is President.
This year’s winner was Todd Lindley who has amassed a remarkable range of achievements at Claires Court, a co-ed with over 1,000 pupils from two to nineteen, in Maidenhead, Berkshire.
Presentations were made in the Lords to Todd himself and to John Rayer, the school’s head.
